Meet The Teacher Team

Mr. Eickmeyer

Math & Reading

I am very excited to begin my first year of teaching in my own classroom!

I joined the Russellville staff last fall as a full-time substitute teacher and paraprofessional. Most students know me as “Mr. E”.

I am the son of two teachers, I am the grandson of two more, and have many other family members in education. I recently moved to my mother’s childhood home in Russellville.

I am looking forward to beginning this new journey and becoming part of the Russellville community!

Ms. Ponder

Grammar and Writing

I am so excited to start my fifth year of teaching as a Russellville Indian!

In May of 2019, I graduated from Lincoln University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I completed my student teaching at Belair Elementary in 5th grade.

I have three sisters and I grew up in Jefferson City, MO, where I still live. In my free time, I love to be outdoors and spend time with my friends, family, and Ottis (my dog).

I look forward to many more years of teaching at Russellville Elementary and to all the adventures we will share!

Mrs. Steenbergen

Science & Social Studies

This is my 26th year of teaching here at Russellville and I am ready for our adventures in learning this year!

My husband and I live on a small farm.  We have 3 children; Caleb, Corey, and Allie.  We have one granddaughter, Dally Jo.  On our farm you can find  a few cows, chickens, ducks, horses, pigs, dogs, cats, and a rabbit.

My family attends church at Mt. Olive and we enjoy spending time with family and friends.

I look forward to getting to know you and grow with you!
